Mike and Kathy McKeever love working with college students and internationals. In fact, they both started following Jesus themselves while they were in college. Mike was challenged in his faith by students in the college fellowship at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY where he was studying classical singing, and Kathy met Jesus as a result of the story of an international student friend from Singapore while studying music education and organ.
Once they knew the Lord, He soon put them together when Kathy came to Eastman to do grad work. They spent their early married years in a church that had a strong global outreach program and a desire to show the love of Jesus to the world. They listened to the visiting speakers and were compelled to find ways for their lives to have a similar eternal impact. Since that time, the McKeevers have been called to numerous serving opportunities: language school in Belgium, six years serving in Cameroon at Rain Forest International School, Christian school teaching in the U.S., hospice chaplaincy, music ministry, and most recently mobilization efforts for various organizations. Mentoring others has always been a focus, and holidays have always meant guests – especially students and internationals.
The McKeevers love their local church, and their community of Lancaster County, PA. Besides serving, the McKeevers’ lives are full with three married adult children – Seth, Hope, and Nate – their spouses and grandchildren. You can catch Mike training for his next half-marathon, or out in their home garden while Kathy walks their rescue dog Bogart in the local park. Thank you for your participation in prayer and finances with their ministry!
