My first real taste of the love and mercy of God came when I was in high school. I concluded right away that I wanted to share that love with as many other people as I was able. After growing up in Columbus, I began university in Cincinnati, but moved to Columbus and The Ohio State University after a year to learn to do non-professional ministry. I married Carolyn in Columbus, and we joined a church-plant team, moving back to Cincinnati in 1987, where we still live. We have raised three children – Lauren, David, and Jennifer – here in Cincinnati. Now we are also blessed with 4 grandchildren.
My introduction into working with internationals occurred first in Columbus, where two of my roommates were brothers who were refugees from SE Asia. In Cincinnati, I participated in a Chinese-English Bible study, and eventually volunteered for IFI in different capacities over the 30 years we have been here.
I started a business in 2002 to allow more flexibility in my schedule to be involved in ministry, and in 2016 decided to devote the majority of my time doing International Student ministry.
