We started with the AEP Independence Day Parade at 6 p.m. It was fun watching different companies, organizations, nonprofits, school bands, and political entities walking in the parade and displaying their patriotic spirit. We even saw a Jesus float! So, we decided the IFI Interns should be parade participants next year! Yeah! J
Then we had a great picnic on the green lawn next to the Franklin County Court House with sandwiches, fruits and veggies, chips and cookies. Delicious!
We did a great activity, which was encouraging and gave us a lot of food for thought. We each drew a graph with various high and low points of our lives and we took turns in describing those. It was amazing to see God’s protection and guidance through all of our lives.
It was fun to watch the parade, and get to see my son and daughter walking as one of the groups in the parade. It was also pretty cool to see the fireworks from up high, rather than looking up at them.
