Right now I’m in a busy season but I still want to praise God for so many things in my life.
First of all, I want to express my appreciation for my mentor Rebecca. Through IFI ISEED program, she became my mentor. She has been meeting with me faithfully every week. I told many times to my friends that she is so great. We can be honest with each other and share our ups and downs. She is helping me going through a lesson of the book of Galatians, to better understand what the Gospel tells us. This lesson reminds me of so many aspects of the truth of the Gospel. I’m very grateful that God brought Rebecca to my life.
Secondly, God has been helping me discovering my strongholds. I’m very glad to see what God has been doing. He helped me come up with a list. Before this week, I only know that my strongholds exist but I’m not quite clear of what they are. I know that they are from some deep hurts in my childhood and teenage life. And, I know they are all twining together, which means one caused another. Thankfully, God helped me to write down on my phone whenever there was something coming across my mind. Now I have a long list. I pray that God can help me make the list more organized and help me take away the strongholds one by one. I want to be transformed by God’s work and to become a new person.
In the end I want to share a few verses from Ephesians. These verses remind me how God views my when I believes in the lie that I am not accepted:
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will– to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves. Ephesians 1:3-6
