It has been two weeks now since I have been learning ”The Disciple’s Cross” using the Masterlife book 1. Through this class, I have been learning a lot on how to become a disciple of Christ. I learned that in order to be a disciple of Christ I need to deny my self and follow Christ, I need to put Christ first as John 15:5 says, I need to set a time and spend time with him on my quite time, I learned how to have a quiet time with Christ which has been helping me a lot to get connected with God on my daily life.
Another thing that I’ve learned is obeying Christ’s command, which is a key to discipleship and I cannot be his disciple if I do not obey him. In my week two, I learned how to live in word as John 8:31-32 says that if we hold to his teachings we are really his disciples and we will know the truth and the truth will set us free. I believe that we can’t know the truth unless we live in his word and remain in it which helps us get closer to him and know the truth about him.
My experience of praying in faith, memorizing scriptures, and having my daily quiet time has been helping me get closer to God than before and help grow in faith. Since I’ve been studying the master life book my life has been changing, I’ve been able to see God working through, walking with me, teaching me, and helping me become his disciple.
All in all, in order to become his disciple we must deny ourselves and put Christ at the center of our life and developing a lifelong, obedient relationship with Him. However, Christ expect us to spend time with him, live in his word, pray in faith, fellowshipping with believers, witness to the world, and ministering to others.
