“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” 2Corinthians 5:17

This past December is a fruitful month for me. God continues to reward me as I strive to pursue and serve Him faithfully. In the beginning of December, my heart was distressed, knowing that I needed to pay a large amount of money for my car insurance. Feeling like carrying a big financial burden, whether or not should I continue to buy Christmas gifts for my family and friends becomes a real and serious question.

One day, I woke up from a nap and I heard a sweet voice telling me: “my grace is sufficient for you.” My heart was then relieved and surrounded by a huge sense of joy. Out of the car I walked to my workplace, I made a decision: go buy and make gifts for all the ones that I love and cherish, and God will provide all I lack.”

God amazed me by the ways that he provides! He brings different people and circumstances to me to help me make enough money to cover my car insurance. It’s even enough to overflow so that I can give my extras to those in need. On New Year’s Day, I cried out to God to praise Him for his unfailing love and care for a constantly-worry-a-lot me.

Right after Christmas, IFI organized a road trip to Vision Conference. I am thankful to be able to come to this conference and see people’s lives being transformed! We discussed important questions about identities, anxiety issues, meaning of life, success and happiness and so on. I came to realize that to understand the meaning of life, first I should understand the creator, who is God. Without knowing God, I could easily misplace my identity. What good is the value of a spoon if it’s not for the purpose of serving dinners, who designed it? Therefore, what good is the value of people if they are not for God’s glory?

At the conference, two young international girls who already made a decision to follow Christ were so touched by the Holy Spirit that they wanted to be baptized! I shared with them: it was God’s love that compelled me to get baptized. Then, later, the girl shared in her testimony that her heart felt God’s love strongly during praying, singing worship songs, and reading God’s words.

The two girls were excited to receive the new life in Christ and surrendered their lives to God. How delightful is it to witness this “marriage” in Christ! Happy tears on our faces, joyful singing “I’ve decided to follow Jesus, no turning back”, hugs and celebrations… It was a beautiful moment!
