No coincidence in God II

In February, the title of my blog was No coincidence in God, I am very happy to continue the stories mentioned in it, and share how God has continued His work in March. I spoke of 2 friends of mine, whose names I didn’t mention, but for the sake of clarity, I will give them pseudonyms this time. Last time I mentioned how I was going to go on the same trip with Lan, and I was hoping to connect with her. I thank God that He made a way!

The trip to Washington D.C. had a big group of 40 people, it would have been hard for everyone to stick together, also considering that different people wanted to visit different places. Lan and I were in different vans during the trip, but we were able to have short conversations during stops and communal time. One afternoon, when everyone was going wherever they wanted, she finally asked me to go explore with her. That was a great time, and a great opportunity for us to connect deeper. As we spent the whole afternoon together, she had heard from her host family that believers have testimonies, and she asked me mine. I was so glad to share my testimony with her, in fact, I even shared my testimony video with her so she can watch it later, since it also has other elements we weren’t able to talk about at that moment. In my story, I shared about forgiveness, which she later said was her favorite spiritual conversation. I thank God that she finally was open to spiritual conversations, and I pray that God will keep working in her, as I also share more about God with her.

My other friend Ruthie who was a seeker in the last blog, and had seen God’s power in her life, she is a believer now! Praises be to the Lord! She also had gone to another spring break trip with a group of students and ministry workers from IFI. I was talking with my fellow ISEEDer on the D.C. trip, as we were amazed by how God has been softening our friends’ hearts, I mentioned that I see Ruthie becoming a believer very soon because of what God was doing in her and her responses. My ISEEDer friend told that to the ministry worker on the other trip, and the next day we heard the good news that Ruthie has accepted Christ in her life. God is amazing! She is now learning more about what it means to be a follower of Jesus.

As I am praising the Lord for the spring break trips, I am thankful that I also got to be encouraged and inspired by pastor David Platt at McLean Bible Church. I knew him but I had no idea that he was the pastor of the church that we visited. I am glad that I got to talk to him; I asked him to give me a word of wisdom on how to be faithful and successful in ministry. I am also glad that he prayed for me that I have the same anointing that’s on him! Very meaningful to me!
