2 Corinthian 2:15-16 For we are the aroma of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing, to one a fragrance from life to life. Who is sufficient for these things?
The Bible tells us that scriptures are the living Word of God. We oftentimes try to perceive it with our intellectual mind, but it doesn’t become real until we truly experience the Word of God according to the scriptures.
I often heard people prayed that we would be the aroma of Christ and attract people to God supernaturally. I often meditated the meaning of being the aroma of Christ, and what it was like to have the scent of god. Two weeks ago, I made a phone call to a friend of mine in Virginia. She was super excited to tell me that she would like to start the inner healing process. I was very happy for her that she was ready to take a step forward to experience more of God. I gave her the explanation that our behaviors were like the top of the iceberg that everybody could see, but the unseen part was the real “root” that caused the troubles for us. In order to help her to get ready for the healing prayers, I told her to write down the things/experience that really hurt her as well as her behavior patterns if she noticed any. As she shared with me about her past, I began to ask her questions to help her identify the root. Almost every time I asked her a question, she would say, “how do you know?” She told me that it was “scary” that she felt that I could read her mind. Of course, I told her that it was the Spirit of God who prompted me. What surprised her was that God began to heal her even by simply sharing what was on her heart to me. This morning, she messaged me and told me that I became very spiritual and attractive which really touched her. I told her that we were the aroma of Christ, and she would be like that as well if she kept pursuing God. She began to call me “aromatherapist.” I like my new name very much! May we all experience the Word of God in everything we do, and may we become His powerful witnesses whenever we are as we are carrying the fragrance of God.
