Hi everybody! Didn’t I say I’d come back?
This month of September went by very quickly and a lot of things happened in our ISEED training. The month was marked by endings and beginnings!
First, we finished our Bible story telling lesson. It took a few weeks to learn how to tell Bible stories accurately and how to get listeners to meditate on them. I realized that everyone has an interpretation of the word of God. Thus, it is very important to know how to conduct the discussion accurately so that the listener does not get it wrong. Now, my biggest challenge is to prepare questions for further discussion.
Second, we finished reading the book “A meal with Jesus” at our Thursday dinners. There were a few weeks of discussion about the chapters of the book. It was cool and impactful to see how Jesus related to people through meals, and the spiritual meanings of meals. The principle that most impacted me was that meals with people symbolize the future that awaits us when we will be sitting at the lamb’s feast! Wow!
Third, we start the Masterlife class on Wednesday nights. We started in book 1 – how to be a disciple. Each week we delve a little deeper into the basis of what it is to be a disciple. We have memorized verses and the discussions have been very rich and uplifting. In each class, one of us is impacted by something. In particular, each lesson is an eye opener to Father’s truth and it’s been wonderful.
Fourth, we also started reading a new book called “The 7 habits of highly effective people”. Today we discussed the first habit of being proactive and we have learned a lot. The interesting thing is that at the same time the Lord is dealing with areas of my life that need proactivity.
Finally, we had a punctual body language class, and the topic of discussion for my Friday night Bible study is the I AM of Jesus. We have also learned a lot from the word of God and from the people around us. And one last thing I would like to share is that I am so happy to see my husband making the effort to keep up with all the training activities. He is doing Ph.D. all day long and has been striving to do his best. You may have noticed that I used “us” a lot in writing the text. Yeah, we’ve had the same feelings about ISEED training.
Well, this brief description of what we did in September made me realize that my perspective has changed. I think I’m learning to love people more, to empathize with them more. Jesus sat down to eat with sinners full of compassion and humility, and much more. This training has opened the doors of my heart to people, just as Jesus had an open heart. But for now, that’s it guys! I’ll be back soon!
