Mike Yang was born in China. He started following Jesus when he was an exchange student in Taiwan during his sophomore year. In 2016, he came to the US to study for a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering at the University of New Hampshire. Since that time, he started to become deeply involved with groups of believers, activities and trips.

When he was participating in his first student conference for believers, he had a strong vision from the Lord which was calling him to reach out to Chinese and internationals to share God’s love. He was one of the student leaders of the International Cafe group — a club on campus which focused on helping international students know God. This experience really helped him to grow his faith in God and the vision of serving Chinese and other internationals.

In 2019, Mike joined the IFI ISEED program. He started to get training and take classes about sharing God’s love to different cultures. God is bringing people from all nations to the US, including himself. By the grace of the Lord, he started a Bible study group with international students and also mentors students by using what he learned from IFI training and classes. He hosts a “hotpot party” for international students almost weekly. He brought international students on a road trip and one of them started following Jesus during that trip. The Lord is doing amazing things to grow him and he believes that the Lord is going to continue to use him.
